Sony's low budget Xperia series phone Tipo, which was announced in june 2012 along with the Xperia miro and the Xperia tipo dual, and now available for pre-booking on online retail shopping site Flipkart for priced at Rs. 9,499. It is expected to ship in the next week of September.
The Sony Xperia Tipo and Tipo Dual both these Smartphones are also up for pre order on Infibeam.com at an unmatched price of Rs 9,499 and Rs 10,299 respectively.

Sony Xperia Tipo features include Android 4.0 ICS, 3.2-inch (480 X 320) display with HVGA resolution, 3.2MP autofocus primary camera and 800 MHz processor. It also features FM Radio, 1500 mAh battery, 512MB RAM and 2.5GB of internal storage. It will be available in black, white, red and blue colours.
