Lemon Launches Mobile Wallet App for Android

Lemon Launches Mobile Wallet App for Android
Digital wallet service Lemon.com launched a new Android app that backs-up receipts, coupons, and cards to create a storage system similar to what Apple promises in Passbook.

Lemon is a digital backup for all the cards stored in a physical wallet. The app takes photos of state-issued ID's, debit and credit cards, club cards, coupons, receipts, and loyalty cards that users can access later. The data is stored under "bank level security" and requires a PIN code to be accessed.

Lemon can also take pictures of receipts and store backups that can be analyzed later. A detailed receipts tab creates a summary report of past purchases, including amount spent for specific categories like food or travel. Receipt information is used to send offers to the Lemon inbox for promotional discounts.

Professionals can sign-up for Lemon Business to have receipts scanned and submitted directly to employers for expense reimbursements. A $9.99 monthly membership is required to gain Business support, which also includes data exporting to Evernote or CSV.
