Pinterest Launches iPad and Android Apps

Pinterest Launches iPad and Android Apps
Social networking giant Pinterest has launched it's apps for Android-based smartphones and for the iPad. Pinterest has also announced to launch an app for the Kindle Fire, which should be available on the Amazon Appstore "later this week."

An online scrapbook where users can "pin" images and share them with others, Pinterest has grown to about 23 million users in July from about one million a year ago, according to online analytics firm comScore.

Version 2.0 of the Pinterest iOS app brings performance and stability improvements to the iPhone, along with a new two-column layout. The iPad version, meanwhile, includes an embedded, Pinterest-centric web browser, as well as a shortcut that allows users to view any other items that have been pinned from a given page. Both Android and iOS apps offer essentially the same functionality, enabling users to pin and re-pin content, browse categories, and follow other users from their mobile devices.

Download pinterest apps for iOS from Apple iTunes Store and for Android from Google Play Store.
