Indian mobile phone maker, Karbonn is all set to launch their next Dual SIM Android Smartphone A11. The phone is listed on online retail e-commerce website Flipkart with 'Coming Soon' status. It has a 5MP rear camera with LED flash and a front-facing camera for video calling.

Karbonn Launches 7 inch Smart Tab 2 for Rs. 6,990

India based company, karnonn has launched it's another low budget tablet - Karbonn Smart Tab 2. Officially The MRP of the tablet is mentioned as Rs 7,990 but it's available online for Rs 6,990 on snapdeal.com. The company also had launched Smart tab 1 tablet in last month.

The Smart Tab 2 carries an Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich and is all set to receive the 4.1 Jelly Bean update. Karbonn Mobiles Announces Rajnikanth Kochadaiyaan Smartphones

Karbonn Mobiles is going to launch an exclusive mobile phones for Rajinikanth's forthcoming movie Kochadaiyaan. Karbonn has a tie-up with Eros and Mediaone, the distributor of the film, to make five lakh phones as part of its Kochadaiyaan mobile range.

Kochadaiyaan mobiles will have exclusive screensavers and images from the film along with the trailer and the signature tune. And they will also have Rajinikanth's signature on them. These special Kochadaiyaan mobiles will be released in September/October during the audio launch of the film. The official pricing details for the exclusive range remain unknown.

Kochadaiyaan is a hi-tech action adventure film, on the lines of James Camaron's Avatar and Spielberg's Tintin.

Kochadaiyaan is directed by Rajinikanth's daughter Soundarya, with Rajinikanth and Deepika Padukone as lead protagonists. The movie will be dubbed in Telugu and released in Hindi, English and Japanese as well.

Soundarya Rajinikanth is planning the film's release for December 12 this year, coinciding with her father's birthday.

The range is expected to include some feature phones from Karbonn Mobiles as well as the recently launched Karbonn Smarttab 1 and Karbonn smartphones. However, these will be modified with content and cosmetic changes to give an exclusive look and feel. Both the companies are still working on the details though, and things will get clearer in the days to come.

This is not the first time that a device is being made and sold to promote a movie. Recently Shahrukh Khan starrer RaOne also had a tablet released in its name, but it did not do well in terms of sales.

Karbonn to launch Intel Powered Android Smartphone in India

Global computer chip manufacturer Intel, which partnered with Lava a couple of months back to launch the world's first Intel Atom Z2460 mobile processor based smartphone Xolo X900, in India has got into partnership with another Indian handset brand, Karbonn, to launch an Intel based smartphone by the end of this year.

Pardeep Jain, managing director, Karbonn Mobiles, said to The Mobile Indian, "Karbonn Mobiles will launch an Intel based Android smartphone by year end in India."

He added, "Our research and development team has been working with Intel on this project for quite some time now." However, he didn't reveal any further details regarding price or specifications.

Apart from Indian brands, many international players like Lenovo and Motorola have already started working on devices based on Intel's mobile Atom chips and users can expect many Intel based devices in the market.

Motorola has already announced that its Intel powered smartphones will be made available to global users towards the end of this year, but looking at Intel's eagerness we can hope to see the device much sooner.

The first Intel processor based smartphone Lava Xolo X900 is already getting a good response from consumers. It features a 4.03 inch touchscreen display, Near Field Communication (NFC) capabilities, and micro HDMI to output high quality videos.

Xolo 900 has a single core 1.6 GHz Intel Atom Z2460 mobile processor with Intel Hyper-Threading technology. This processor packs an array of technologies developed by Intel for faster performance with minimal possible compromise on battery life. The Integrated Graphics Media Accelerator on this handset will support all modern 3D graphics and high quality video playback.

On the camera front, Xolo X900 has an 8 megapixel rear camera which should ideally be able to record 1080p HD videos. This camera also features a burst mode, which will allow users to capture ten pictures within a second at 8 megapixel quality. There's also a front facing camera for video calls or video chat.
