LG Optimus Vu Phablet launched in India for Rs 34,500

The Optimus Vu Phablet (Phone + Tablet) was announced at the MWC in February 2012. According the LG, In March, the device has sold more than 500,000 units in Korea. LG announced in August it would be available soon in globally and now is listed to LG's India website for priced at Rs. 34,500.

LG has put a 5-inch XGA IPS display with 4:3 aspect ratio and 768 x 1024 pixels on the Optimus Vu while the Galaxy Note II features a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED screen with 16:9 aspect ratio and 1280 x 720 pixels.

Huawei Ascend P1 LTE 4G smartphone launched in India with Airtel

Huawei, in partnership with Qualcomm and Bharti Airtel, announced Ascend P1 LTE, India's first 4G smartphone. Powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon S4 processor, the phone can handle high speed (up to 40 Mbps) data on the LTE network and voice calls on the underlying 3G network using circuit switched voice fall back (CSFB) technology.

Earlier this year, Bharti Airtel became the first telecom services provider in India to deploy LTE-TDD networks and launch 4G services in Kolkata and Bengaluru.

Lava XOLO X900 finally starts getting Android 4.0 ICS Update

Intel and Lava together has announced its first Intel Medfield-powered based phone - Lava XOLO X900 - in June, now it has started rolling out Android 4.0.4 update for XOLO X900 users in the country. The Android 4.0.4 update is now live both over-the-air (OTA) which is about 222 MB and for manual download to install via PC.

S Huawei Ascend Y100 Android Smartphone with FM Radio in India @ Rs. 5.990

Huawei has launched the Y100, their new entry-level Android smartphone in India in partnership with Spice, hence it called S Huawei Y100. It has a 2.8-inch (320 × 240 pixels) TFT Capacitave touch screen display and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). It is powered by a 800MHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and has a 3.2MP fixed-focus camera at the back. The Huawei Ascend Y100 was announced back in May for select countries. Huawei launched the Ascend G300 and Y200 in India back in July.
